Free eCommerce Store Post 2
Hello everyone I'm Alan Branson a Freelance Web Developer, Blogger, and fellow Entrepreneur.
If you seriously want to start your own online business but don't have the web development skills and can't afford to pay to have it done for you then you're in the right place. I have already done all of the hard coding work for you, and due to the Caronavirus I am Giving It Away !!! That's a $2000 value, yours free to use but not distribute.
First of all thank you for visiting today and I hope you continue with the rest of the series. And as always if you find value in what I am giving away please like or subscribe to my YouTube channel. I will not ask you to pay me for anything, but if you would like to donate in support of this project I do have a link setup at the bottom of the page.
Please note that some of the links on my site are affiliate links and at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission. Know that I only recommend products, tools and learning resources I’ve personally used and believe are genuinely helpful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to purchase them. Most of all, I would never advocate for buying something that you can’t afford or that you’re not yet ready to implement.
This is the second post in the series where you will learn how to:
Create a KeyWord rich Domain Name.
How to register your Domain Name.
How to setup Domain Hosting & Email Account.
Ok let's jump right in.
The first thing we need to do is choose a Keyword rich Domain Name. What I mean by that is let's say we are selling apples. Would it make sense for us to choose oranges.com or apples.com for a Domain Name? Let's say we own both apples.com & oranges.com, and we are selling apples from both Domain Names. Which Domain Name do you think will rank higher in Google search results? Google will rank apples.com higher than oranges.com when searching for apples because apples.com has more relevance with apples than oranges.com has relevance with apples.
We also don't want our Domain Name to be too long, it should make sense to machine and human reader alike. Machine reader being the major search engines like "Google", "Bing", and "Yahoo". Bing and Yahoo are, for all intents and purposes, the same search engine. Let's keep our Domain Name as short but as descriptive as possible. Are we a "store", "mall", "boutique", "single item", or "brand name"? If we go back to the apples example we could choose apples.com, or premiumapples.com, or deliciousredapples.com, or even applesfastdelivery.com if we were a delivery service.
What if somebody already owns the Domain Name we want? Fortunately for us WebRunner Websites has a handy tool that will suggest alternative Domain Names if the name we want is taken. WebRunner Websites is the Hosting Service that I use and recommend. For your convenience I have placed a banner at the top of this page that links to Webrunner Websites. Click the link and search for the perfect Domain Name! If you already have a Domain Name and Hosting Service that supports PHP and MYSQL databases your good to go and ready to install your new eCommerce Shopping Cart.
I use WebRunner Websites for my Domain Name, Email Address, and Hosting Service because they are extremely easy to use, highly reliable, and very competitive on their pricing.
Now that we've found the perfect Domain Name click "Continue to Cart" and choose any "Privacy Protection" option you want. I highly recommend choosing the basic "Privacy Protection" option, otherwise you might get a lot of spam and robo calls. At This point you can create an account if you haven't already done so.
After creating an account and logging in choose how long you want to register your Domain Name for. Don't complete your purchase yet because you still need a Hosting Service and Professional Email. From the menu choose Hosting and then cPanel after that. On the next page you want to choose "cPanel Economy", cPanel Economy isn't the cheapest option but it is the cheapest option that has what you need for the store to work. It includes PHP & MYSQL databases which is what I developed the eCommerce Store with. Click "Add to Cart" and on the next page choose how long you want the Hosting Service for. You will also want to SSL Certificate at the bottom. This is required by Stripe to be able to process Credit Cards. Click "Continue" but don't complete your purchase yet, unless you don't need the Professional Email Account. On the menu choose "Email", then "Workspace Email" on the next page add your choice to the cart and choose how long you want to keep that Email Address, then click "Continue".
At this point if you have chosen a Domain Name, a cPanel Hosting Plan, and a Professional Email Account for the minimum of 1 year, through WebRunner Websites. You'll be paying less than the cost of a Netflix account for 1 year. Click "Complete Purchase" and within a moment you will be ready to install your new eCommerce Store.
That's it for the second post in this series. In the third post you will learn how to install your new eCommerce Store. Thank you very much for reading along.
